Love Note to Self - #4
10/26/16 7:38pm ~ Love Note to Self #4
Cease this waiting in silence.
End this waiting for something to change.
Do not equate silence with patience.
They are not the same.
When something is said, stop exploding in emotion but LISTEN to what is said.
Listen with heart not ears.
Show depth, go past the surface.
Want risky love that doesn’t know if it will survive.
Want love that overwhelms and grounds.
Want to be love that makes the sun shine brighter and love that moves the wings of birds.
Show love with compassionate words, thoughtful actions, with golden intent.
Admit mistakes and move on.
Don’t hold on to the seeds that poison.
Grow seeds that nourish.
Sit tall.
Don’t wallow.
It’s hard.
Believe.
Stop and breathe.
Never forget to stop and breathe.
Stop and breathe.

Love Notes to Self - #2
10/26/16 5:20pm
I see you.
I know you.
I feel you.
Thank you for acknowledging my presence when you arrive at home.
The way you drop everything and smile, truly happy to see me makes me dizzy.
You know I desire a hug before I ask.
You immediately give yourself to the moment shared.
It is easy to follow your lead.
I await in anticipation for the next time I am in your presence.
Because with you I feel safe, calm, warm, and free.
Free to express my inner workings without fear that you’ll run away.
I know you will listen, which fuels my desire to listen to you...pauses and all.
Each word you speak casts a spell of peace.
My mind enters stillness as I watch your mouth form words sending vibrations in my being.
These vibrations hum a celebration song.
Life is worth living.
Happiness is worth sharing.
Kindness is worth giving.
Love is worth receiving.
Strength is worth motivating.
Words are words after all...
but the vibrations they send course through my being connecting me to the source of all.
All is here, now, waiting, hoping, praying, breathing.

Love Notes to Self
October 2016 I made a commitment/affirmation to myself - "I am willing and open to receive love". To manifest the love I desire, I starting writing love notes...to myself. These notes were usually born in moments of desire, longing, acceptance, and overwhelming emotion.
Since my first love note, these notes have been overflowing and I am now going to use my blog to share them with you. May you find comfort, solace, familiarity within these notes. Who knows, maybe one day these can be compiled in a complete form.

10/25/16 8:30am
Is it the mere fact that it is cold...or is it electric?
Is it wanting something to be there?
Or is it that something's actually there?
Will patience win? Will sparks die?
What will conquer? What will wait?
What will flow? What will harm?
What will thrive? What will survive?
The hair on my back stands up straight...not for fear...but adrenaline…or longing.
Warm in all the right places, inviting and hoping.
Longing for more than 20...20 minutes of interaction; point 2 seconds.
First physical sensation.
Understanding in locked eyes.
Knowing it could be deeper.
Longing.
I long to stay with you this morning.
Obligation turns my hand.
My feet walk. (Movement)
My heart stays. (Desire)
My mind wanders. (Longing)
Duty and obligation press me forward, but I long to stay here.
Throw caution to the wind.
Embrace….the moment as is.
Cannot be selfish for too many moments.
Cannot...
be ungrateful for the time shared.
Even though the time was limited, the intention was clear.
And the thoughts...still linger.
Why do I feel like you see me?
Because maybe i am presenting myself freely.
Not only do you see me, but I see you too.
I want to know what keeps you awake at night.
I want to know what makes you feel free.
I want to know what drives you inside.
I want to know what terrifies you.
I want to know inside your mind.

Free from Distraction
Listening to Bone Machine - Tom Waits. Halfway through album, AUX cable breaks inside iPod. Fails trying to extract, even with tools from the garage. Go to party in Fancy Gap, VA and camp, plug phone in to charge. Get up next morning and leave phone. Do not realize until 20mins from home. No problem, found someone to bring it back 48 hours from now. Prepare to leave house for gig. Realize need to handwrite directions. No big deal. Get on road, go to plug in iPod, remember-can’t. Reach for my phone, remember-can’t. Look at the clock, and remember it doesn’t work. Turn on radio, static. Remember the radio antenna snapped off a few weeks ago. No big deal. Down the road a bit longer and sharp inhale. Forgot wallet. No identification. Too late now. Directions are wrong. Chest gets tight. Tell myself, TRUST. Found gig, show up. Realize stripped of all usual distractions, free to be self. Play gig. Walk back to car, battery drained due to headlights left on. Shrugged and said, TRUST. Friend jumped me off, back on the road home.
When you are just you...there is unconditional space to enjoy limitless being.
Set yourself free.
